I often comment that I am a writer by-birth as I started writing and journaling very young. I wrote my first visionary short story around nine years old, used my writing skills in business and marketing for over two decades, took classes on traveling and creative writing at UC Irvine, published articles for various pubs, and wrote for Examiner.com as the Seattle Natural Health Examiner.
I learned the ins and outs of the traditional and self-publishing industries over the years through trade events in Seattle and later in NYC through Gotham, and self-published my first book Live Brightly, A Spiritual Guide For Women in November 2010.
I was also a contributing author to the Amazon Bestseller The Gratitude Book Project; Celebrating 365 Days Of Gratitude (2011 & 2012 Editions.)
Even though poetry emerged later in my life, it became a profound tool of creative expression during my mid-life transformational period.
Spiritual poetics, or visionary poetry as I call it, has at times become lyrics (longing for the right melody and tune to make it a hit song) as well as themes for writing groups and retreats.
My poem "Mo Ghaol" was featured at the McTaggart Exhibit of Scottish Shorelines at St Andrews, Scotland in the Summer of 2011.
And my first poetry book called "The Way We Love Now, A Poetic Trilogy Capturing The Heart's Journey To Find True Love" was published in November 2013.
